Kobe Bryant’s daughter, Gianna Maria Bryant, aka GiGi also died in the helicopter crash with her father. She has been confirmed as one of the five victims of the crash which happened on Sunday, January 26, 2020.
According to TMZ, Kobe Bryant’s daughter Gianna Maria Bryant died alongside her father in a helicopter crash in California.
Gianna Maria who was 13-year-old and her father Kobe Bryant were reportedly on their way to basketball practice when the helicopter crash occurred in Calabasas, near central Los Angeles.
Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant was a talented youth basketball player and she regularly attended the LA Lakers games with her father.
Vanessa Bryant, her mother and Kobe Bryant’s wife was reportedly not involved in the helicopter crash. Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa had four daughters together and the youngest of their kids was born in June 2019.
Kobe and Gianna are survived by Vanessa (mother and wife), Natalia, Bianca and their newborn Capri.
Reports claim the private helicopter carrying Bryant circled at least 10 times over a period of 15 minutes before crashing.
