Kim Kardashian’s bodyguard at the time she was being robbed in Paris in 2016, has been slammed with a $6million lawsuit by her insurance company for not doing his job properly.
Recall that the reality star lost an estimated $11 million in jewels when she was robbed at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week in 2016.
Kim Kardashian recouped some of the loss through her insurance company, AIG. And now, TMZ is reporting that the company has now filed a lawsuit seeking $6.1 million — the amount it paid Kardashian for her jewelry, including the 20-carat, Lorraine Schwartz-designed engagement ring given to her by Kanye West.
The company said in their court document that during the incident Pascal Duvier was at a club with Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner and had left Kim without security.
They further noted that the bodyguard should have fixed various security breaches at the location, such as a missing lock on the building’s front gate and a broken intercom on the door.
It is worthy to note that Kim Kardashian changed her security after the incident, including ending her professional relationship with Duvier.
“Pascal, along with a couple other security members of their team, were recently let go by Kim and Kanye,” a source told ET in November 2016. “It’s a pretty tough situation overall, and they love Pascal, but they couldn’t take any more chances.”
We can’t wait to see how this pans out.
