According to Twitter user @buisilyfe, the incident was reportedly immediately to the nearest police station at Kaba/Obajana Junction, but the Police reportedly did nothing about it. He further disclosed that family of the pregnant lady cannot pay the ransom the kidnappers are demanding for.

He tweeted;

A family friend was kidnapped at around 8am on Tuesday, along Lokoja-Okene Road. She was coming from her wedding which took place last Saturday & the Kidnappers ran into the bush with her. The case was immediately reported to the nearest police station at Kaba/Obajana Junction.

Till this moment @PoliceNG are doing nothing about it. Everybody, including police & local vigilante believe they are still in the bush, but police are shying away from organizing a search party.

Local vigilante even volunteered to lead the way, if only they will be backed by the police, but @PoliceNG say they are awaiting instructions. This is the 3rd day now, & the kidnappers are threatening to kill her if ransom is not paid.

What prompted me to do this thread is that a very nice policeman in the station secretly advised that we pay the ransom, his words “if una dey wait make police enter bush una go wait till next month. Na for only big people that kind order dey come quick quick..

.if na Senator pickin now, we for don rescue her tey tey” Can twitter Nigeria please help me call on Police to do their job, all Nigerian lives matter. The DPO’s name is Emma Ikpatem & his number is 08130736115.

She is 4 months pregnant & the family cannot afford the heavy ransom they are requesting.
