Kidnapped Kaduna minor killed after parents paid N5m ransom

Kidnapped Kaduna boy Muhammad Kabir, has been found dead, seven days after he was taken from his parents’ home.

A N5 million ransom was paid for his release after he was taken from the Badarawa suburb of Kaduna North local government area and is believed to have been killed by his kidnappers, one of whom is said to be his neighbour.

Kabir’s body was found in a drainage Ian’s buried in Kaduna today May 1, according to Islamic rites.

Immediately the boy was declared missing, a search party was organized to find him before a call came in from the kidnappers demanding N50m but later reduced the amount to N5m.

Kaduna state police spokesman, ASP Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the incident, says three suspects have been arrested in relation to the crime, including a neighbour.

Jalige in his statement, said the suspects all confessed to the crime but said he cannot comment further until the final investigation.
