The 54 year old former Lennox School District superintendent was found dead on Sunday June 9, 2019 in the San Bernardino County community of Grand Terrace after he abruptly resigned in April 2019.

Taylor is survived by his wife, Janet, and three children.

Kent Taylor Lennox death: How it happened

Sheriff’s deputies had received reports of a deceased man at Taylor’s residence on Mavis Street in Grand Terrace and they arrived at about 12:20 p.m. Sunday.

Sgt. Jeff Allison, a spokesman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, when asked Kent Taylor cause of death, declined to reveal it as the county coroner’s office and authorities are ”conducting a death investigation at this time,” Allison said.

Taylor had resigned from the superintendent’s position in Lennox on April 9, the same day he also resigned as a board member for the Colton Joint Unified School District in San Bernardino. Neither Taylor nor either district had given explanations for his sudden departures.
