Nigerians took to the comment section of her page to re-orientate. See some reactions below.
1st, from the uniform he is wearing he is not a fire fighter- he most likely is a security guard doing his best with what is readily available to him to help before the fire fighters arrived the scene. 2nd, Nigerian firefighters are excellent despite their limited equipment – @ORONSofGOD
This man is not a fire fighter ,he’s one of the security personnel attached to the building on fire ,he was just trying to help put out the fire. Please check and verify your information before posting on social media. I am a Nigerian , we have good fire fighters. – @unicornguytunde
Well the person in that video isnt a fire fighter just a concerned security personnel attached to the building on fire And this video was taken before the fire service got there – @amanduregan
For the records, this is not a firefighter, he is one of the securities trying to help to put off the fire from a local store. A trained fire-fighter won’t do this but he is just trying to help, we may not have the best of equipment but we not as dumb as the Brits – @AutoReportNG
For you information Katie…we also do have fantastic firefighters, that you see ONLY this one isn’t a clear picture. You are supposed to be smarter than this. By the way he isn’t a firefighter, just a security guard trying to help, so I’m glad I’m a Nigerian – @chyke90
That man up there is merely a civil security guard. Yes, he embarked on an impossible mission but it shows how concerned and patriotic he is. If you must compare the services of your firemen, do so with countries on same pedestal with urs not Nigeria. We are work-in-progress, pls – @ovu1
