This was made known earlier today by the Spokesperson/SSA (Media and Publicity) to the Governor of Kaduna State, Samuel Arunwan.

Samuel Arunwan took to his twitter page to share the news, stating that the El-rufai administration is determined to triumph over hindrances blocking the girl-child from getting quality education. He wrote;

Kaduna State has abolished tuition fees for all female secondary school students in the state owned schools. The Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Ja’afaru Sani disclosed

In a follow up Tweet, he wrote;

On free girl-child education: The vision of @GovKaduna @elrufai is to triumph over hindrances and biases blocking the potential of the girl-child and also create an enabling environment where their potentials will be unleashed for the common good.

Below are some reactions by Nigerians on Twitter to the report.

@Olawaleibb – Why for females only @elrufai, what happened to their male counterparts…equality for all

@Adultzone9ja – So they won’t have reason not to be educated i guess.

@MicUchendu – Don’t know if I should be excited or keep mute

@ameenabd72 – All this noise because of N1500 per term they pay. Election manipulation campaign
