The Kaduna state Governor Nasir El-Rufai has ordered the closure of a school in state after the proprietor allegedly raped a 9-year-old pupil of the school.

The governor ordered that the Kaduna Quality Assurance Authority (KASUPDA) withdraw the license of the school, Liberation College, where the man identified as Mr. Samuel Ejikeme was the founder.

According to the Commisioner of Human Services and Social Development, Hafsat M. Baba, the allged culprit confessed to the crime.

She wrote on Twitter:

Parents with wards at Liberation College, behind Govt Model Sch, Trikania are advised to withdraw them from the school. Pic is Mr. Samuel Ejikeme, proprietor of the school, allegedly raped a 9-year old girl. He confessed on tape. We’re yet to establish if there are other victims

Reacting to the post, the governor wrote that the license of the school be withdrawn and the man should be prosecuted immediately

He wrote:

THANKS COMMISSIONER: The Kaduna Quality Assurance Authority should immediately withdraw the school’s license & close it down. KASUPDA should look into its development permit and take further action within two weeks. Mr. Ejikeme must be detained & vigorously prosecuted.
