According to Ric Hassani whose ‘Gentleman’ song got him nominated for the Best Male Vocalist in the country at the Headies 2016, not making it into this year’s list is a sad day for him and his team, even though he admitted they’ve had their worst days.

He tweeted;

One of my backup singers called me on the Phone to tell me about the Headies awards, we weren’t nominated. Sad day for the team but we’ve had worst days. I’m proud of us, we came from nothing, we did all this without any connect or money or label, just work. I’m very proud of us.
