Coming after Nigerians dug up comments of followers who advised Nigerian singer, D’banj to protect his late son, Daniel, against the open indoor pool in his house, an act which elicited criticism, Oby, the daughter-in-law of former Imo state governor, Ikedi Ohakim, has appealed to Nigerians to cease from attacking singer D’banj and his wife, Didi Lineo.
Sharing a personal experience as she noted that no parent is perfect enough to always watch over their loved ones, Oby stated that what happened to D’banj and his family could happen to any parent.
The daughter in-law of former Imo state governor, Ikedi Ohakim, who recounted the experience of losing her son after she forgot him in a car, said it is an innate thing for people, even parents, to make mistakes and that no parent will say he or she has not had a moment where they have slipped.

D’banj’s son – Daniel Oyebanjo III died after he drowned in a swimming pool at the family residence in Ikoyi, Lagos State.
The singer marked the first birthday of his son, in May. Another singer, Davido, who won the Best International act at BET Awards on Monday morning, paid his condolence to Dbanj on his son’s death in his acceptance speech. The singer’s other colleagues and fans alike have also been commiserating with him.
