With heavy hearts, at the age of 24, we announce the death of Gianna Dorothea Valdes-Moreno (Manhattan, New York), who passed away on October 16, 2019.<\/p>\n

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Belen Moreno and Javier Valdes; her brother Alexander; her grandmother Dorothy Moreno; her aunts and uncles, Michael and Carolina Moreno.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Gianna was born on February 6th, 1995 in Bern, Switzerland, and lived her early years between Switzerland, El Salvador, Miami Beach and Naples, FL, before coming to Manhattan where she had lived with us since 2013.<\/p>\n

She is survived by her parents Belen Moreno and Javier Valdes, her brother Alexander, her maternal grandmother Dorothy Moreno, and her uncle and aunt, Michael and Carolina Moreno.<\/p>\n

Funeral Home Services for Gianna were provided by Frank E. Campbell The Funeral Chapel of New York, NY.<\/p>\n

Her grieving mum wrote on Facebook after her baby’s passing:<\/p>\n

My daughter, Gianna Dorothea, was and continues to be my most precious gift. May her spirit thrive in eternity.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We are Heaven’s fools and our only redemption is in our tears. A soul has ascended unknown and deeply mourned. She had learning and culture that should have bloomed into a public life but now will never be.<\/p>\n

Receive in Grace the soul of Gianna Valdes Moreno as she departs this earth. She died too soon.<\/p>\n

She was loved by all who knew her. My most profound condolences to the dearest of friends. Belen, this loss has no consolation even as we all mourn with you. Adieu sweet child.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
