Erin Mackay accident death – dead, obituary, funeral plans: Beloved Erin Mckay died June 10, 2020 after a tragic accident.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 42-year-old Templeton woman died Wednesday after her Jeep was struck in the windshield by a tire and rim on Route 2 in Fitchburg.<\/p>\n

The crash happened at about 1 p.m. Wednesday near Mt. Elam Road.<\/p>\n

State Police said the woman was rushed to Leominster Hospital with serious injuries and then flown to UMass Medical Center in Worcester where she died.<\/p>\n

Erin Mackay death was announced in a statement that read:<\/p>\n

Dear Forest Avenue Families,<\/p>\n

It is with great sadness this morning we share with you that yesterday our beloved grade 1 teacher, Erin MacKay, passed away unexpectedly. She leaves behind her husband and two daughters.<\/p>\n

Not only was Erin a mother to her own children, she was a mother to countless others in our school community. She was an amazing educator, and above all else, a kind and caring person.<\/p>\n

We are deeply saddened by this loss and know this will be a difficult time for our students, families, and staff. As a school community we are here to support Erin’s family and our larger school family.<\/p>\n

Forest Avenue staff and counselors will be available to support those affected by this loss. Later today, we will communicate a plan to support students, families, and staff.
