The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner Coroner\u2019s Office has now confirmed Jas Waters death case is closed, determining that JasFly died of suicide by hanging.<\/p>\n

Our hearts break for the grieving family, friends and loved ones and we urge that their privacy please be respected.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Writer Sade Sellers confirmed her friend\u00a0Jas Waters dead in a statement that read:<\/p>\n

Absolutely devastated to confirm @JasFly\u2018s passing. She was such a light. Offered me advice about writing so many times\u2014 prayers to her family.<\/p>\n

Just for clarification, I am not a spokesperson for Jas or her family. I just got confirmation in my DMs from people close to her.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m hurt man. She was really an inspiration to me. We share the same birthday. Man.<\/p>\n

Also, I don\u2019t have any details other than that. I hope you all respect her family and not pry. When they\u2019re ready to share they will.<\/p>\n

Jasmine Waters was born in Evanston, Illinois. At the time of her death, she was living and working in Los Angeles. Waters was a graduate of Columbia College Chicago and\u00a0worked for VH-1, Comedy Central and Showtime –\u00a0Showtime\u2019s \u201cKidding,\u201d NBC\u2019s \u201cThis Is Us,\u201d VH1\u2019s \u201cGossip Game\u201d and many more.<\/p>\n

She also worked on hit projects such as \u201cSpiderman 1 and Spiderman 2, Hardball, Save The Last Dance, MTV\u2019s Real World, Barbershop 1 and Barbershop 2 and the NBC\u2019s ER<\/p>\n

Jas Waters AKA Jas Fly was a well-respected talent in the entertainment industry. In 2012, Jas Waters even landed her very own column in VIBE magazine.<\/p>\n
