James Bloss accident: Beloved James Bloss death, obituary happened January 3, 2020 after a car accident. He was only 21 years old.
His death was announced in a heartbreaking statement that read:
It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that Genesee EMT James Bloss died in a motor vehicle accident early this morning in Thetford Township.
Arrangements are pending, and will be communicated as soon as possible. Our grief counselors have been notified, and are available to anyone who needs them.
The holiday week has hit the Medstar family hard. As we hold each other up during difficult times, the strength of our bond is demonstrated and the value of our team takes on new meaning.
We continue to hold James, Kathy, Alan, and Michelle in our thoughts. Our team works with tragedy every day, but when it hits us, it does so with a particular vengeance. If there is anything needed for anyone in our family during this difficult time, please email or call any member of the leadership team, and we will engage any resources needed to assist.
James Bartholomew Bloss of Clio, was an E.M.T. with Medstar.
His funeral services will be held 3 PM Monday, January 6, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek.
The family will receive friends from 2 PM until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
James is survived by:
- his mother and step-father, Lisa and Jim Phalen;
- father and step-mother, Jody and Deborah Bloss;
- siblings, Vanessa, Justin, Meghan, Austin and Anthony;
- grandparents, R.B. Skelton, Sharry McDill, Dean and Helen Bloss, and Karen Miller;
- many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The question is why and the answer is never known.. it seems like it was just summer time and we kept going out on the boat and chilling up at snappers having an awesome summer, all the boys out on the lake..
