The Writ of Restitution ordered Deputies to remove a male and a female resident and all possessions as of three days prior.

Uniformed deputies knocked on the apartment door and received no answer. The Deputies then gained access to the apartment and observed the male retreat to a bedroom.

Deputies gave several commands for him to come out of the bedroom. As he refused, the Deputies eventually opened the bedroom door.

Upon doing so, they were met with a barrage of heavy gunfire.

Corporal Ron Nord, a 34 year Law Enforcement veteran, was shot in the upper leg and abdomen. He has been the Civil process Deputy with the Sheriff’s Office for 9 years. He is in stable condition.

Sergeant Kelly McLean, a 28 year veteran to the GFSO and former assistant team leader of the Grand Forks Regional SWAT Team, was not injured.

The Deputies immediately retreated from the room and radioed for back-up.

Grand Forks Police Department officers arriving on scene were Corporal Patrick Torok, a 27+ year veteran of the GFPD, and a 25+ year veteran of the Grand Forks Regional SWAT Team, along with Officer Cody Holte, a 3 year and 3 month veteran of the GFPD, and a member of the Grand Forks Sheriff’s Office Regional Water Rescue Team.

Corporal Torok and Officer Holte immediately entered into the apartment, coming to the aid of the deputies under fire.

Gunfire was exchanged in multiple volleys between the suspect and the officers on scene.

Officer Cody Holte suffered multiple gunfire wounds during the incident. Emergency medical aid was rendered by officers who then carried Officer Holte to the ambulance for transport to Altru Hospital.

Through the exchanges, the suspect, age 41, received several gunfire wounds. Aid was rendered on scene, and he was transported to Altru for his injuries.

  2. The question has to be asked, why did the cops not use tear gas instead of just shooting it out with their hand guns against an AK 47. Also why on earth did the remaining officers allow the black bastard to live and go to prison for life instead of paying with his life. It appears, and the officers would have known that N.D. is very far left and evidently do not have the death penalty as one of their sentences. If he raised his hands they should know he is just praying to allah or the blm organization before he shoots another clip at them. Also the two words of allah and blm are in small case because they do not warrant to be capitalized.
