The injured lady whose face was smashed following a robbery in Lagos, has apologized to Taxify for dragging them into the incident that saw her part ways with her belongings and also injured.
According to the lady, she was robbed and injured by a taxi driver but not one signed to the Taxify agency. The lady who claimed that she mentioned Taxify because she was in shock wrote;
Good afternoon everyone am Kate. I want to say a big thank you to @adebolaisaac for saving me that night and my sincere apologizes to @taxify.ngfor the misrepresentation. However, I was assaulted by a “Taxi driver” not a “Taxify driver”To everyone that came to my rescue in reposting this incidence and other media houses I totally plead in misleading you in the cause of your duty, I actually mentioned taxify cause I was in shock; Adebola Isaac am so sorry . To the general public thanks for your concern
Recall also that Taxify revealed in a statement released today, that the injured lady might have been involved in an unrelated incident but tried to wrap it around the company. The transport agency stated that contrary to her claims, the last time the lady requested a ride on the app was four days ago, October 23, 2018. They wrote;
“While we are deeply saddened to hear about what happened, all information provided to us and corroborated by multiple parties shows that while it is obvious that she was assaulted, no Taxify driver partner was involved”.
