Four suspects have been arrested by the operatives of the Oyo State Police Command for illegal arms supply and 10,000 live cartridges where recovered.
A team of SARS arrested the four suspects, Adekunmi Abimbola, Abel Kojo, Mukaila Ariyo and Ade Adebayo on July 23, at their hideout at Oke Bola.
Ten thousand pieces of live cartridges, an unregistered Toyota Sienna LE minibus and a Toyota Camry with registration number, Lagos GGE 979 FT, were recovered from the suspects.
While speaking with the Nigerian Tribune, the leader of the suspects, Abimbola, denied he supplied the cartridges to criminals, claiming he only sold them to hunters.
Abimbola, however confessed he has been doing the illegally without license for many years, but disagreed it was sold to armed robbers and bandits, rather they told newsmen that hunters were their clients.
Also, arrested were 21 other criminal suspects who were nabbed by the officers of the state Police Command at various places across the state.
Among the suspects, were two young ladies found in possession of one double barrel pistol on their from Mushin, Lagos state to Iseyi area of Oyo state allegedly to carry out their operations.
