The suspect who accused his 25-year-old wife, Husse Ali of being promiscuous is from Gautan Fadama village in the Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State. Northern City news gathered that the suspect had earlier sent his wife to her parents over her adulterous lifestyle, but she reportedly continued the act at her parents’ home.

The suspect described the deceased as a stubborn woman, adding that she refused to respect his admonition to stop sleeping around with men, lost his temper and murdered his wife.

“I used machete to kill her for refusing to adhere to my instruction; I told her to desist from sleeping around with other men but she disobeyed me and I blew my top and killed her,” he narrated to Northern City News on Friday.

He said, “My wife was stubborn, I sat her down and told her the implications of what she was doing, she ignored me and she had to pay the price.”

Confirming the incident, the State Command’s Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar, said that Muhe had been charged to court.

A similar incident played out few months ago, as a 40-year-old man, Femi Adebowale was arrested by the police in Ogun State for allegedly beating his wife, Kuburat Adebowale, to death for allegedly engaging in adultery.

The suspect, according to the spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, was picked up at his residence, 15, Campbell Street, Agbado in Ifo Local Government area of the state.

Oyeyemi, ASP, added that the younger brother of the victim, Shakiru Alao, had lodged a complaint at the Agbado Police Division that his elder sister had been beaten to death by her husband. The DPO in charge of the station, CSP Sunday Omonijo, led his men to the scene, where the suspect was promptly arrested.
