The Federal government of Nigeria has explained what criteria they will use in identifying and paying vulnerable Nigerians amidst the ravaging coronavirus disease.

In a statement posted on social media, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, explained that the program, in collaboration with the World Bank will implement the Community Based Targeting model.

Recall that on Monday March 30th, the Minister in charge, Sadiya Farouq, announced that in line with President Buhari’s directives, the Ministry has started sending cash to the poor and vulnerable in Nigeria.

The Ministry this morning took to social media to explain how the poor and vulnerable are selected.
