A Twitter user, Pauleanna Reid has shared her story on how she met her boyfriend in the new social media app Clubhouse.
According to the lady, she met her boyfriend in Clubhouse on December 12, 2020 where they were invited to speak on a panel.
Sharing her story on Twitter, she advice people looking for love to learn to open their hearts and be available to receive love.
She wrote; “I met my new (romantic) partner in #clubhouse. Here’s our story including what I’ve learned from being open and available to receiving love in the most unlikely online space.
On December 12th, 2020 we were both invited to speak on a panel in #clubhouse. My partner spoke about digital marketing strategies, I taught the audience how to pitch to the media. It was a great conversation; yet wasn’t the first time this person caught my attention.
For a while, I wanted to holla, say hello, get this person to notice me too, but you know, nerves! So I just fell back and prayed on it. Dec. 12 was the first time we were in the same room and it was my chance to make a bold move. When I finished my talk, to my surprise.”
“My partner sent me a DM on Instagram to congratulate me on doing a good job. I thought, “Lord, I see what you’ve done for others…” LMAO! The door finally opened and I took the opportunity to shoot my shot, I mean, why not?
I responded with my number and told my partner I wanted to continue the conversation off the app. I got a call within two seconds – the only kind of energy I want and need – and for the next two weeks, we talked for 9 hours a day, falling asleep on the phone type of shit.
I hadn’t traveled in 2020. Literally, only the grocery store and to see my personal trainer. But for love, I was willing to risk it all and on Dec. 30th I flew out so we could meet in person and see if our feelings were real. My partner booked us a suite at the Ritz Carlton hotel
Money was no object (a love language). My partner arrived before I did. When I walked up to the door a big bouquet of white Lillies and roses (my fave) stood in a vase on the floor (a love language). When the door opened, immediately we knew this was it. There was no question.
There were countless romantic moments on that trip (I could write a book) and to be honest, a month later, I am still here. I never left and don’t know if I’ll be going back home any time soon. I have never been happier, never felt more loved, never saw this coming.
2018-2020 were rough. I went through so much heartache and almost gave up on love completely. But I am so happy I didn’t. I just want to encourage you to keep your heart open. I am on the wildest ride of my life and do not regret a damn thing. We are taking it one day at a time.”
