Herdsmen Crisis: Buhari approves new military battalion to Kaduna

After the killings perpetuated by the notorious herdsmen in Gwaska village, Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna state this weekend, President Muhammadu Buhari has swiftly sent reinforcement to the state.

It was reported that he approved a new military battalion, a new Police Area Command, and two additional Div Police HQs to the area.

The presidency revealed this on Twitter in a series of tweets affirming that in order to bring an end to the bloodletting by the herdsmen and to ensure that the criminals behind it are brought to justice, it has approved a new military battalion, a new Police Area Command, and two additional Div Police HQs, for the area.

President Buhari has vowed that the federal government will do everything in its power to ensure the safety of lives and property in Kaduna state and all other states troubled by the herdsmen.
