Many Nigerians have expressed displeasure over the viral video of health workers picking up a suspected COVID-19 patient without Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in Ilorin.

COVID-19 is an ongoing global pandemic, with over four million people infected across the globe.

Health workers are at risk of getting the virus as they treat patients, and the WHO has advised them to always have their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on whenever dealing with a suspected case of the virus.

A shocking video has now showed the moment some health workers in Ilorin, Kwara state were transporting a suspected COVID-19 patient without any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

In the video, the frontline workers could be seen using face mask made out of fabric, and also having direct contact with the patient.

As social media users called out the government for negligence and abandoning the health workers, some advised that such workers needed to be tested before returning home.
