Abike Dabiri, Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has reacted to the viral video of Senator Elisha Abbo assaulting the staff of an adult shop in Abuja.'He deserves to be in prison' - Abike Dabiri reacts to Senator Elisha Abbo assualt video


Abike Dabiri took to her Twitter page to condemn the assault by Senator Elisha Abbo on a sex toy staff which was captured by CCTV camera and has since been released on the internet.

She wrote;

To think that this PDP guy .was said to have “defeated”one of our most respected female parliamentarians, Senator Binta Masi Garba. The Senate must not protect him. He should be charged . The footage is enough evidence . He deserves to be in Prison

I hope the Senate will not protect him. I expect a Senator to move a motion of urgent importance tomorrow

The senator has however denied the allegation of assault against the sales girl. During a telephone conversation with Channels TV, the senator addressed the viral video showing him assaulting a staff of a sex toy shop. He promised to release an official statement but insists that the video was old and his sister was initially assaulted till she fainted and needed resuscitation.

According to the senator, the video released was cut to show only that part of him assaulting the staff which he is not justifying but states that it happened after his sister was badly assualted to the point of fainting after which an ambulance and police were called to the scene.

The IG of Police has however called for the arrest of the senator and his orderly to enable proper and discreet investigate into the case.
