Haley Bohlen death, obituary: Haley Bohlen accident happened Monday afternoon October 7 2019 when the vehicle she was driving collided with the back end of a farm truck.
The collision occurred 1 1/2 miles west of Fairfield on Nebraska Highway 74.
Haley had a rear-facing infant passenger in the vehicle she was driving. The baby was taken by ambulance to Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings and is said to be well and recovering.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Bohlen was westbound in a 2009 Ford Expedition sport-utility vehicle about 4:10 p.m. Monday when the SUV collided with a westbound straight truck.
The truck had slowed and was preparing to turn south into a field entrance when the accident happened.
The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Mary Lanning for treatment.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Fairfield Fire and Rescue, Clay Center Fire and Rescue, the Nebraska State Patrol, the Clay County Highway Department and the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
The update on the infant’s condition was posted around 11 a.m. Tuesday and included condolences for all affected by Monday’s crash.
The Sheriff’s Office said in a statement
“The Sheriff’s Office has received confirmation that the child involved in the fatality accident is recovering and is well.
The deceased driver of the SUV, a 2009 Ford Expedition, is Haley Bohlen age 31 of rural Fairfield. We express our deepest sympathy for her family and all others involved.”
