Former president, Goodluck Jonathan has shared an Eid Mubarak message to congratulate Muslim faithfuls on the completion of the 2019 Ramadan period.

In his short message, Goodluck Jonathan prayed that the season would usher in peace and joy into the homes of Nigerians.

He tweeted:

“Eid Mubarak to the Muslim Ummah, may this season usher into our homes peace, love and joy. May Allah grant us our heart desires according to His eternal will. Happy Celebrations. – GEJ”

President Muhammadu Buhari also shared a message to congratulate Muslims on the celebration taking place today.

In his message, the president advised them to maintain the discipline to learnt during the period and not to go back to bad eays

The Ramadan period is meant to reinforce us spiritually. Therefore, we should use religion as an inspiration to do good at all times. The virtues of the Ramadan should be sustained beyond the celebration. Going back to bad ways after the Ramadan might defeat the essence of the message and lessons the fasting period was supposed to inculcate in the hearts and minds of the Muslim faithful,” he said.
