American superstar rapper, Big Sean, has added another house to his list of assets as he took to Twitter to show off its interior.
Sharing photos of the new house on his Twitter page, Big Sean wrote;
new house, new energy! My kitchen damn near big as the house I grew up in, GOD too real.
Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash recently sold the estate to rapper Big Sean for a reported $8.7 million. Public records don’t yet reflect the sale of the ornate Beverly Hills estate that features a basement nightclub with an elevated DJ booth, custom LED lighting, and chrome stripper pole.
Records do show that Slash, aka Saul Hudson, and his wife at the time, Perla Hudson, paid $7.3 million for it in 2009. They’ve been trying to sell it since 2015, when it was listed for $11 million. The price was reduced to $9.5 million in August 2016.
So it appeared that Slash gave the 29-year-old rapper, whose real name is Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, a professional discount. Or perhaps the 52-year-old rocker was tired of rattling around in a 10,971-square-foot estate with seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and a 36-foot halfpipe for skating.
Of course the house has many other features of interest to a modern music maker, including an elaborate recording studio, a living room with bar, a home theater that seats 12, and three pirate ship chandeliers that float above the two-story foyer.
Other luxury amenities include a chef’s kitchen with double islands, a game room, and a library. The half-acre lot also features an outdoor living room with a fireplace, a pool and spa, a barbecue center, a sand volleyball court, and an organic vegetable garden.
However Big Sean remodelled the house after he bought it. The rapper obtained a building permit for his 7-bed, 8-bath, 11,000 sq. ft. Beverly Hills mansion — which was formerly Slash‘s — to remove and enlarge the window facing the swimming pool … according to L.A. City docs.
There was also a permit for Sean’s home to re-plaster the pool and add some new lighting. But Big Sean’s biggest project — according to the docs — is pumping around $22k into a remodeling job to his kitchen and bathroom.
