A Glenshane pass accident today left a man dead and two women seriously injured, and caused the Glenshane Road to get closed between the Garvagh Road in Dungiven and Tobermore Road in Maghera.

According to police, a 46-year-old man died and two women were seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash in Glenshane Road, Co Derry, County Londonderry.
The crash happened close to the Ponderosa Bar and Restaurant at around 11.45pm yesterday.
All three people were travelling in a car – a grey Vauxhall Crossland – on the Glenshane Road on Tuesday. The two women were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
As at the time of writing this report, the Glenshane Road remains closed between the Garvagh Road in Dungiven and Tobermore Road in Maghera. It is expected to reopen at around 10am as officers are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
Police appealed to anyone who saw the crash or who has mobile phone or dashcam footage to contact officers on 101.
