Please say a prayer for George Tiggle’s family as you read these tributes below.

One of the finest souls to grace our planet – God Father to my children – his unique zest and spirit will be missed but we are all so much better for having known George Tiggle.
Rest In Peace my dear friend.

The world lost a gem this week. I didn’t know George very well, but whenever I saw him, I’d always leave smiling and laughing.

After their happy hour meet ups with friends and former coworkers, Mike always came home with hilarious and heartwarming stories – George was almost always the center of those stories.

I know George loved Mike and their friends, and George has a huge loving family that will all miss him unbelievably.

If you’re feeling grateful for what you have and you have a little extra to spare, I know the Tiggle family would be thankful. Every little bit helps.

Tribute:

I was going to make a simple post to remind Comp Football Alumni to register this week for our annual game but it will be a bit more.

The Blue and Gold have lost a brother this weekend. George Tiggle was a great guy and friend and will be missed by anyone that knew him.

I didn’t get to see him often but knew that he would be at the game every year and I’d get to see that smile and hear that laugh.

That’s why these events are so special. So please spread the word to anyone that played and have them come out to the game.

You never know when the last time you’ll get to see some old faces.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.

  1. George recently began working as our development liaison in Student Affairs at UAlbany. We met just a few weeks ago to discuss his work on behalf of our food pantry. I was having a terrible day. 45 minutes with George left me smiling and upbeat. His smile and good will toward everyone will be greatly missed. I am grateful to have known him even for just a short time. Watch over us all George. Til we meet again. Love and light to his family, especially his little girl.
