A senior special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, Garba Shehu lied against the Statistician-General Yemi Kale over reports that the country created 12 million jobs that were not registered by the National Bureau of Statistics, the NBS boss claims.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, gave the report on Sunrise Daily, a programme on Channels Television.
Shehu said during a recent meeting with the Federal Executive Council, Kale admitted that the NBS was only focusing on the creation of white collar jobs and not the agriculture sector and the informal sector.
So here’s the clip of yet another presidential aide being caught in a lie.
It was immediately debunked by the Statistician General of the Federation.
APC government of lies and propaganda. I keep on telling you people that this is not 2015.

However Dr Yemi Kale debunked the report that he agreed to change the records and assented that there had been an error in the collation of the data.
He wrote on Twitter:
Assuming what U claim was said was actually said then I make it very clear that Neither the statistician general nor NBS ever made any such admission at anytime to anybody and the unemployment computations does take into account all sectors, age groups &both rural & urban areas.
