FIU student death: Florida International University student found dead

FIU student death: A student of the Florida International University was found dead inside his dorm on the Modesto Maidique Campus today October 18, 2019.

The student, who has not been named, was found unresponsive in his dorm during a welfare check.

Around 2 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, External relations sent a university-wide email about the death of a student in the Lakeview North dorm building that read:

“Please join us in keeping this student and his family in your thoughts.”

The student’s cause of death are still unknown but police don’t suspect “foul play.”

University administration urge students to contact the Counseling and Psychological Services (305) 348-2277 for advising and help.
