It is no longer news that former Super Eagles midfielder, Wilson Oruma, suffered an emotional relapse of the emotional disorder that bugged him 6-years ago after he was defrauded by a Pastor and some fake oil businessmen. He has however been spotted for the first time after reports broke out of him suffering an ’emotional relapse’ as a result of the business deal gone wrong.
Wilson Oruma who captained the Golden Eaglets’ 1993 FIFA U-17 World Cup winning team, was lured into the fake oil business in December 2012 by his pastor.
He invested a whopping sum of N1.2billion without proper consultation into the business, which he consequently lost all as the deal turned out to be an outright scam perpetrated by so called Man of God.
The ex-player’s friend, Emakpor Dibofun who had made the shocking revelation said:
“Wilson (Oruma) hasn’t really recovered from the emotional disorder which he suffered after he was duped. He has been to several places in search of a lasting solution, but it gets worse after a bit of improvement. He just doesn’t seem to be able to put himself back on his feet”
Meanwhile, new photos of Wilson Oruma has just emerged on social media after his brother, Oruma Akpevwe Daniel, took to his Facebook page and shared the images while he captioned it “M.O.N on the wings of Grace . No shaking.”
New broke out about his conditions some few days ago when old friends came out to reveal their plans to organise a fund raising match on his behalf. This is a kind gesture coming from the likes of Kanu Nwankwo, Austin ‘Jayjay’ Okocha, Victor Ikpeba and others.
This also should serve as a lesson to all other footballers. It is better not to invest in multi-billion dollar ventures at all than losing all to scammers.
If you will recall, former Arsenal defender, Emmanuel Eboue all found himself in this kind of situation. Losing all after making the billions in Europe.
The date for the fund raising match will be announced very soon and we hope this will help better the life of the former Super Eagles skipper.
