News of the death of the former governor of Oyo state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi hit today and Nigerians have shared tributes on their social media pages.

Abiola Ajibomi whose death was rumoured last week, is said to have died from coronavirus complications which led to him slipping into coma and being on a life support machine.

BREAKING: Ex-Oyo Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, is dead

Akwa Ibom Police Command has arrested another Pastor for the alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl in the state. The Pastor identified as Prophet Nnamso Friday Jocab alias “Major Prophet Honesty Jesus” allegedly raped a 16-yr-old girl who went for counseling and deliverance and asked to come back for “spiritual adoption”. Police Public Relations Officer, N-Nudam Fredricks, Chief Superintendent of Police, said investigation revealed that the victim previously visited the so-called Prophet and General Overseer of “The Living Power of Zion Church”, situated at Ndue Eduo, Okon Eket, Eket local government for counseling and deliverance, but was given an appointment by the suspect to report back on 23rd June 2020 for “spiritual adoption”. He added that the victim visited the prophet on the scheduled date of appointment and that while she was in the prophet’s counseling room; the suspect administered an intoxicating liquid substance to the victim, and thereafter took advantage of the victim and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her. The Commissioner of Police warns sexual predators to desist from this acts or continue to face the wrath of the law, he said.
