Geoffrey Onyeama, the Nigeria’s foreign affairs Minister, has reacted to the viral videos of burning, destroying and looting of shops and properties owned by Nigerians in South Africa.
According to reports, the disturbing xenophobic attacks meted out on Nigerians by South Africans, pushed some into hiding in bushes.
Onyeama while reacting to the reports of the viral video, he declared that the Nigerian government will be taking definitive measures over the attacks in which there was no obvious police protection.
He stated this via his Twitter page on Monday.
Received sickening and depressing news of continued burning and looting of Nigerian shops and premises in #SouthAfrica by mindless criminals with ineffective police protection. Enough is enough. We will take definitive measures.
