An elderly man identified as Francis Obidi from Umuduru village in Nempi, Oru West LGA, Imo state, has been paraded members of his community after he was reportedly caught burying charms in a young man’s land in the village.
The elderly man who was driven out of the community, was accused of burying the charm where the young man planned to establish his small scale business. The supposed victim of the charm, Chima Obijiofor who shared photos of the man, wrote;
This evil man came deposit charm (juju) in my land ,were I want establish small scale industry.
Few months ago, it was also reported that a man identified Philip Ibekwe was nabbed in the eastern part of Nigeria, after he was caught while trying to ‘plant’ charms in his brother’s house.
According to report,he was taken to his house and shockingly padlocked keys with many charms (used them to tie people’s destinies) were seen.He was persuaded by the mob to unlock them. His video was shared on Facebook by one Uchenna Anyanwu, with the caption;
“This man was caught planting inshi in his brother’s house. After a thorough search all this was found in his own house where he use people’s name and tie on padlocks with all sort of evil charm.”
There was also a viral video showing the shocking moment a man who was acting as if he was mad, was nabbed with charms in broad daylight. The shocking incident which happened at Oke Eri, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, left many residents in utter shock and pure disbelief. Local reports claimed that the man was caught with various charms on his waist, while he was trying to lure primary school pupils with biscuits. He was promptly rounded up by angry villagers who forced him to pull them off.
In the video, the man is seen fumbling with his shorts as he tries to pull of the charms he was allegedly wearing. It was however not revealed if he was handed over to the police.
