We reported earlier today that less than 24hours after the Ekiti election, in a tweet addressed to Gov. Fayose, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) disclosed that it has reopened the fraud case against outgoing Governor of the state.
The tweet which was deleted apparently because it was accused of being partisan, reads;
“The parri is over; The cloak of immunity torn apart, and the staff broken. #Ekiti Integrated Poultry Project/Biological Concepts Limited N1.3bn fraud case file dusted off the shelves. See you soon.”
Here are reactions from Nigerians to the tweet from EFCC below;
The funny thing is that Fayemi has several corruption cases too. But EFCC shared that nonsense regardless

To those who think the
@officialEFCC is neutral, this tweet (which they have now deleted, but which we screenshot) shows you what @GovAyoFayose and the @OfficialPDPNig were up against. Don’t cry for Fayose Nigeria. Cry for yourselves. Can the EFCC say this about any APC Governor?
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is to opposition politicians what SARS is to ordinary Nigerians.
APC are now in partnership with Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, what a shameless country we live him. I’m ashamed of this country Nigeria
Its myopic for anybody to think EFCC is neutral. They are have been and continue to be tools in the hand of ruling party. The worst institution so far. Its shameful.
It’s annoying knowing fully well that this is an apparatus of Nig State and not an arm of APC. Until we create independent board charged with appointing heads of EFCC and even the judiciary, Justice and criminal systems will remain at the mercy of the President.
EFCC being partisan, they were tweeting something about the end of immunity for Fayose
This is so unprofessional from EFCC. We want you to fight fraud but don’t be trolling or throwing banter for cases.
