The protesters arrived the US embassy at about 12 noon, carrying different placards with inscriptions such as ”U.S.A stay clear of Nigeria’s internal politics”, ‘why now after 14 years’ and many others.

The Federal government has since expressed displeasure at reports that the US might give Atiku visa soon.

  27. The US need to stop meddling in our affairs especially political and economic affairs! Cogent reasons need to be given should the grant him the visa as disputed

  28. Why the protest?
    Why shouldn’t they travel?
Or are all presidential and vice presisdential candidate not supposed to travel?

  29. Questions to ponder:
    1. Why haven’t they granted him visa all the while?
    2. Why wait till he’s running for the apex office before deciding on granting him?
    3. What has been the rationale for denying him all this while?
    4. Are some PDP aspirants trying to set him up so he can be arrested and tried in the US while they take over as the flagbearer of the party?
    5. Is the US govt trying to use Atiku’s criminal case to fix him up as a puppet in Nigeria, so that they can fist on our oil and economy?

  32. This is a very stupid protest all following one anther ignorantly. I don’t see any tangible reason while atiku shouldn’t be granted visa

  45. Why did the police not quench this protest? This style of campaign is not what we need now; it should rather be policy and economy based.

  46. What is their problem with Atiku! Political propagandists of this country is baffling Nigerians

  47. It is clear that this act is fueled by a political opponent, if not whats their concern if he is granted visa or not.

  48. Atiku has not entered America for more than a decade now. I think he sure knows what his offence was and why he wants to a visa to the country he avoided over the years.

  49. Lol after spoiling the country, you want to run away to another country to go and flex and leave us to suffer here alone..
In fact am supporting from here,do not grant Him visa..
