2017 was a fantastic year for Davido. He had four of the biggest songs of the year, shined on every single track he was featured on and rounded it all up with a sold-out concert that squashed the beef between himself and Wizkid and reunited the legendary Mo Hits crew – Don Jazzy, Ikechukwu, D’Banj, Wande Coal, Dr Sid and D’Prince.
Now, with “Ada”, DJ ECool and Davido have successfully carried that torch into 2018.
In “Ada”, Davido sings about ditching all the other women in his life — from the “mistakes” to the “gold-diggers” — to focus on his one true love, Ada.

During an interview when he was asked where he goes for inspiration, he said:
A majority of my inspiration comes from real life—specially from sincere insights into life truths, and emotional responses to events and relationships, for instance everyday speech, familiar phrases, intense emotions, deeply felt convictions, a pleasant place or thing, and a friend’s insight into a problem or feeling.
People inspire me, specially inspiring people, but also troubled people, people who symbolize a cause or issue, fictional characters, and every day people I know.
