In what appears to be a celebration of the season of love, Desmond Elliot took his time off as a busy politician to drive kids around Surulere to their various schools.
The number of celebrities carrying out selfless acts and giving back to the society is improving at a rather impressive rate. Just recently, Nollywood actor and comedian, Williams Uchemba revealed his plans of sending 100 kids back to school. Perhaps, it is with this same spirit of selflessness that Desmond Elliot drove some kids to their various schools.
The Nollywood actor turned politician recently took to the social media platform to share lovely photos with some Surulere kids which he drove to school in a bus.
Posting several pictures with the kids, an excited Desmond Elliot captioned one of them:
“I was soooooo excited as well , can’t wait to do it again soon . Loved every minute of it . Suru wa a Lere oo #itesiwajuipinleekolojewalogun #servicetomypeople #ilovewhatilike”
This is not the first time he is rendering help. In December 2017, the actor was pictured in a Santa Claus costume handing out gifts to people in Surulere area of Lagos state. He shared videos and photos on his Instagram page describing the gift giving process.
The actor turned politician was born to a Yoruba father and an Igbo mother. Elliot’s rise in the movie industry began after a friend advised him to become an actor. He began with playing roles in soap operas.
In 2008 Elliot co-produced and co-directed the movie “Reloaded” which received 3 nominations at the African Movie Academy Awards in 2009. He also became an ambassador for a volunteer-based non-profit, non-religious, non-political project established to render assistance to the helpless people within the society.
The actor became a member of the House of Assembly to represent the Surulere constituency in 2015.
