You don't need social distancing when you put on protective mask - Gov. Ben Ayade (Video)

The Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Ben Ayade, said that you do not need social distancing once you have your face mask on as it gives the protection needed against COVID-19 (Coronavirus) disease.

On Wednesday while at a gathering with over 100 persons in Calabar to fully flag off the “No Mask, No Movement” campaign, Gov. Ayade made this statement regarding face mask and social distancing.

He said:

“Because I’m a professor of science and I know how this virus moves; I know its etiology, I know it transmissibility, I know its antigenicity; because I do, I know that once you put on this mask, you already have been protected.

“You don’t need social distancing when you are properly protected because your mucal glands that secrets the mucus and the mucins already forms a network of coats to attack the virus”.
