Cannabis farm discovered in Anambra secondary school (Photos)

A cannabis farm concealed within a vegetable farm located inside a secondary school compound in Anambra State, has been uncovered by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

A 45-year-old man, Amobi Okafor, who was initially arrested for allegedly macheting a security guard in the school during an altercation, was discovered to be the owner of the cannabis farm inside Lake City Secondary School in Nri community, was before the discovery was made.

Speaking on the discovery, Commandant of the NSCDC in Anambra, Mr David Bille said:

“The suspect confessed to the crime and took the NSCDC operatives to the location, behind Lake City Secondary School, where he grows cannabis on a yearly basis.

Exhibits recovered from him include machet, fresh leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa(indian hemp) and other incriminating items.”

The commandant further disclosed that Amobi will be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (#NDLEA).
