Many of those criticizing Buhari are Christians – Femi Adesina

Femi Adesina, a spokesman to President Muhammadu Buhari, has stated that majority of the cirticisms he’s heard against the president comes from Christians.

Many of those criticizing Buhari are Christians - Femi Adesina

Femi Adesina made this known in Lagos over the weekend at a meeting organised by the Christian Press Association of Nigeria (CPAN).

He called on Christians to pray for their leaders instead of criticizing them.

“How frequent do you pray for your leaders and how much support do you give them? Instead of criticising people in government and judging them, pray for them.”

“Before the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, the late Ocholi, died, we had more Christians in the cabinet than Muslims and after his death, the number became equal…Unfortunately many of the comments I have heard against the government are from the church,” he said.

Femi Adesina went on to enjoined Christians in government to live by examples.

“Let your light so shine so that people can see your good works, that is what the Bible says. So, working with government should help you to affect a larger number of people for God,” he said.

  1. WHAT IS THE ESSENCE OF CRITICISMS?

IN GOVERNMENTAL SET UPS, IT ENSURES THAT POLITICAL PLAYERS ACT ACCORDINGLY.

    – BECOME PROACTIVE

    -WAKE UP TO THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES

    -GET ORGANIZED AND BECOME PRODUCTIVE

-STOP CHASING SHADOWS AND BECOME FOCUSED ON REALITIES…..

LOOK HERE MR.MAN, ALL GOVERNMENTS ARE CRITICIZED AND MUST BE TO BECOME DYNAMIC AND FUNCTIONAL.

    – FROM NOW GO AHEAD AND DO THAT WHICH YOU LIKE INCLUDING SLEEPING ON DUTY.NO ONE WILL CRITICIZE YOU.LETS SEE HOW FAR YOU CAN GO.

  2. Whether Christian or Muslim if you do good you will be commended but if you are doing bad you also get the opposite. That’s my view, don’t turn Nigerian Case into religious issue.

  3. My friend whether you are Christian or Muslim if you do good you will be commended but if you do the opposite ofcus you get the opposite. Don’t turn Nigerian Case into religious issue. If you don’t have anything to tell us just shiiii.

  4. sir u are totally wrong for saying it’s only christians even the muslims do by the way why won’t they be criticize, when they have chosen not to do the right thing

  5. Criticism is relevant inorder to know the mind of people in the society, in as much as we need to pray for our leaders, you dont expect people to remain silent even when the government is not performing according to expectation.

  6. This is joining issues between Xtians and Muslims.
What is the statistics of the opinion samples Adesina made to arrive at such conclusion?

  7. What is wrong with criticisms? I see nothing wrong in criticism,it is a wake-up call for leaders. People should try and seperate religion from politics.

  8. I dont think its coming from christians alone ,Nigerians are out there wailing, and praying for a betterment of the govt…so why criticism ??.

  9. Criticism is good but I disagree with you that its one sided, I believe virtually everyone is irrespective of religion or tribe.

  10. Pls u re trying to start religious war sir. Re u a Christian or muslim? Or just just trying to be favoured by hausa fulanis

  11. Not only Christians are criticizing and perhaps whats the need when the leaders are still doing the way that please them

  17. People should do away with insults just because we have a Northerner as President. We should all focus on praying for the president to make Nigeria great.

  18. You are right but always be specific in your claims. The leaders criticized because money is not coming in through tithes and other means.

  19. In as much as it is important to pray for our leaders, positive criticism is also needed to keep the government on track

  20. Everyone is criticizing the government and it is needed so that the government will know whether the are progressing or not
