BREAKING: Buruji Kashamu has died following complications from COVID-19

Buruji Kashamu, a former senator from Ogun state, has died of complications from COVID-19. He died today, August 8, 2020 at the age of 62.

Sharing the sad news, Ben Murray-Bruce wrote on his social media page;

I have just lost my good friend of forever to #COVID19. Until his death, Sen. Buruji Kashamu and I were inseparable. He died today at First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos. May his gentle soul rest in peace. I pray his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this heavy loss.

Buruji Kashamu was a Nigerian politician who served as a Senator representing Ogun East in the 8th National Assembly. Ogun East covers eleven local government areas: Ijebu North East, Ijebu North, Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu East, Ikenne, Ipokia, Odogbolu, Obafemi Owode, Remo North, Sagamu, and Ogun Waterside
