Ephriam Edet Okon George, a young Nigerian man is dead, after his friend identified as Essien Akpaniko James allegedly ran him over with a car following a N30k debt.
The tragic incident happened in Gibbs Street, Uyo, Akwa Ibom on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. The suspect who is currently on the run, was owing the deceased N30k and had allegedly threatened to kill him for demanding for his money.
The report states that Ephraim was called out by Essien last night to collect the 30k he was owing him, not knocking that the suspect planned to allegedly knock him out his car.
The car used by the suspect to ran his friend over was an unregistered Lexus car. The victim was rushed immediately rushed to the hospital but unfortunately died at the process.
Prior to the death of his friend, Essien has been threatening to kill Ephraim that if he disturb him about the alleged debt again. He also bragged about having influential members in his father’s church and an uncle who is a judge that will help die the case.

Essien Akpaniko James is a rich son of a late pastor who drives around in a Lexus Jeep with police escort. Prior to the incidence, he had been threatening the deceased that he’ll kill him if he doesn’t stop disturbing him and usually boasted about having an uncle who is a judge
