Boy will get to sit in Business Class on his new flight after he asks Jetstar for upgrade in cute letter

9-year old Jasper Francis, has written a heartwarming note that made 20 Jetstar staff members to pool the $50 vouchers they each got at Christmas, to make his dream come true. It is neither about dressing smart nor saving airline points here; this little boy nailed it with a cute letter.

Jasper wrote to Jetstar to ask about a possible upgrade to business class on his upcoming flight to Bangkok. The lad who wants to become a pilot some day, said he was saving all his money with the hope of flying in the pointy end of the plane.

His letter read:

“My name is Jasper Francis and I am 9 years old and live an hour outside of Melbourne.

I was just wondering whether kids are allowed to fly business class by themself (sic)? I am saving my pocket money to get an upgrade on our flight: MEL-BKK on your Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

So far I have saved $85 (£46), how much more do I need to save? Yours sincerely, Jasper.”

The note, which was sent in a beautified envelope, melted the hearts of 20 Jetstar staff members, and they pooled together the $50 (£27) gift vouchers they had each gotten at Christmas to make his dream come true.

Due to the fact that Jasper can’t fly on his own in business class, the donations will be enough for himself and his dad to be upgraded to business class on their next flight to Bangkok in June.

Well, that’s definitely not all; the young aviation enthusiast and his family were invited on a tour of Jetstar’s Boeing 787 Dreamliners during the weekend. At the tour, he got to meet the flight crew and took a seat in the pilot’s seat in the cockpit.

Jasper’s parents who spoke to reporters said that he has always been thrilled fascinated by planes and consequently wondered what the business class would look like. His mum, Anna Francis said:

“Jasper’s always wanted to travel business class, and every time we go to an airport he’ll go up to the reservation desk and ask them if he can be upgraded to business class.”
