Boulder Colorado shooting: 10 dead after mass shooting at grocery store

Colorado shooting: It was a sad day as a gunman killed 10 people, at a grocery store in Colorado as footage showed a handcuffed man covered in blood and injured shoppers lying inside and outside the supermarket.

The fatal shooting at the King Soopers store comes less than a week after shooting attacks at three spas in the Atlanta area left eight people dead.

The incident unfolded just before 3pm local time at the King Soopers grocery store located at 3600 Table Mesa Drive. A police officer, Eric Talley, was also killed in the incident.

Law enforcement officials said the suspect, who carried out the attack with a rifle, was in custody, but they offered scarce details about the deadly shooting, including any information about a possible motive.

Boulder Police Commander Kerry Yamaguchi said in a brief news conference that the suspect was being treated for an injury. Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty said officials were still working to notify family members of the victims.
