‘Boko Haram have abducted far more people under Buhari’ – Reno Omokri

Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s spokesperson, Reno Omokri, has also reacted to report of President Buhari, going to Kano for Governors Ganduje and Ajimobi’s children’s wedding, even though he has not visited Dapchi nor paid the parents of the abducted 110 Dapchi girls a visit.

Reno Omokri tweeted;

Can you imagine @realDonaldTrump going to a party a day after #ParklandSchoolShooting? How would the @UN United Nations feel watching President Buhari dancing and celebrating in Kano a day after the Boko Haram he claimed he had defeated killed or abducted members of their staff?

People seem to have forgotten that Boko Haram have abducted far more people under Buhari than ever before. They abducted #DapchiGirls, Police women, Unimaid lecturers, NNPC staff and now United Nations staff. Yet Buhari claimed he defeated Boko Haram!

We reported earlier today, that following the backlash President Buhari faced after he was pictured in Kano yesterday for Governors Ganduje and Ajimobi’s children’s wedding, the Nigerian President’s media aide, Lauretta Onochie waded in to salvage the situation.

In her tweet targeted at President Buhari’s critics who slammed the Nigerian President for failing to visit Dapchi, Lauretta Onochie said that President Buhari is an adult and so decides where he visits. Her tweet read;

President @MBuhari is an adult. He decides where he goes. He decided it’s Kano today. And to Kano he went.

Oh yes, the rights to make a choice is all yours. The thousands who came out today in Kano to welcome him, also will exercise their rights. That’s how it works.

Lauretta Onochie’s tweet came after Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, in 2014 said that it was a shame that President Goodluck Jonathan did not visit Chibok before the girls kidnap, and “a double tragedy that he did not go there after the abduction”.
