Nigerian gay rights activist and Executive director at Bisi Alimi Foundation has addressed the LGBT community in the country, saying he owes them nothing.
Bisi Alimi took to his Facebook page to rant about the LGBT community who believes he owes them just because he is a Nigerian gayrights activisit. He wrote;
There is an idea floating around that I owe the Nigeria LGBT community something! I don’t know what you all think but I need to make it very clear; “my activism is personal”. I am not doing what I am doing for you, I am doing it for me, if you benefit from it, then good luck to you! I owe you nothing!
Also sharing a picture of his Twitter bio, Bisi Alimi wrote;
For those wasting their time to write op-ed about my Facebook post yesterday, you should have read my twitter bio before wasting your time. You lost your battle even before you started.

See some of the responses he got below;
Kelion Chukwudi Digwe “And who thinks you owe them, maybe those who play the role model line… Thinking you’re their role model… Not everyone biko!”
Dorothy Anthony “EXACTLY, you were the one who was brave enough to take risks, and make sacrifices that paid off. You’ve shown courage most people wouldn’t dare!”
