Hauwa Saidu, also known as Jaruma, an aphrodisiac seller, has been granted bail by an Upper Area Court in Zuba, Abuja.
After four days in custody, the controversial entrepreneur was released on bail.
The presiding judge, Barrister Ismail Abdullahi Jibril, announced this, saying that the charge against Jaruma is bailable.
Jaruma’s bail conditions require her to provide one grade 12 surety who works in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja.
Jaruma is charged with defamation of character, criminal intimidation, injurious falsehood, and publishing falsehood to incite public hatred against Regina Daniels’ husband, Prince Ned Nwoko.
Jaruma had pleaded not guilty to the charges, and her attorney had requested bail, which the judge granted on January 28, 2022.
