Mr Adeyanju who was leading a protest to demand the neutrality of the Police in 2019 forthcoming general elections.when he was arrested, was charged with “criminal defamatory and derogatory conduct against constituent authority and breach of law and order” in relation to “posts on his Facebook page”, among other offences.
However reacting to this, Aisha Yesufu who pointed out the alleged hypocrisy in the arrest, asked the police when they would also arrest president Buhari’s aide, Lauretta Onochie, who in a previous post, accused some politicians of being the sponsors of the herdsmen/farmers clashes.
@PoliceNG Have you arrested Lauretta Onochie @Laurestar ? Since Deji Adeyanju was supposedly arrested for tweets like this it’s fair you do same to the spokesperson of government who also did. I would be fair and do both #FreeDejiNow and #FreeLaurettaNow
Reacting to this, Lauretta Onochie wrote;
Joker. Where were you when your primary school teachers taught PUNCTUATIONS? And in Secondary school too? But you are not alone in your ignorance. After you’ve availed yourself of the much needed therapy, you can drop by for a two minute lesson on Punctuations.
