Nigerian singing sensation, Simi has recently said being a Nigerian is so hard and literally difficult. She seems to be among the list of celebrities who are unhappy with the current state of the country.
Simi said most times, when she just encounters as little as a pothole, she becomes exhausted and frustrated.
Sharing a tweet on her page, Simi says she’s exasperated most people want the power but do not want the responsibility that comes with it. She wrote;
I try very often not to say or think it too much, but being a Nigerian is so hard. It’s literally difficult. Lately, sometimes all I need to see is one pothole and I’m just exhausted. And my frustration is mostly that everyone wants the power, no one wants the responsibility
See some reactions to the post;
@dezoetic – I beg to differ there are many who want the responsibility and would inevitably deliver on their duties if given a chance and not excommunicated….
@Oluwacover2 – You’re very right on this….. All they wanted is the power and wealth…. The responsibility is a no no thing for them.
@Justifiedd19 – Your last sentence is the sad part
Nobody wants the responsibility but the power and affluence that comes with it.
@ayomipo_majek – Mama, just sleep jejely jare, the prayer point is no longer “make naija beta” it is now “let me make it in naija regardless of how bad the economy is”, our leaders are not encouraging at all
